The studio

We make maps that could be real, but often aren’t.

The Fictional Cartography studio is based in San Francisco. Sean Hewens is its acting Assistant to the Assistant Vice Mapmaker. Tours are available on the 5th Wednesday of every month.

Many of these maps exist as silk screens, Risographs or digital prints. Send a message and an archivist will get back to you by passenger pigeon email.
