Never Play Hungry

Real map · 2022 · Playgrounds and pizza, what's not to love?

TLDR

This map visualizes the playgrounds of San Francisco overlaid with their proximity to the city's best pizza restaurants. It is very much NOT fictional cartography.

Juicy details

When my son was younger, we spent a lot of time in playgrounds. Actually we still kind of do. And you definitely get hungry for pizza while standing around watching your kid go backwards down the slide. I created this map as a public service to all hungry parents out there, but also those parents like myself who have high standards for good pizza. Other than the hit to your wallet, you can't go wrong with any of the pizza restaurants on this map. And definitely target North Beach or the Mission when looking for your next playground!

If you're hungry (or anticipate being so), definitely bring your kids to a playground in the Mission.
The index contains San Francisco's best pizza restaurants, with a layout inspired by the periodic table.
