A Map of Huxley's First Road Trip of North America

A visualization of the road trip we took in 2020 in a very strange time.

Juicy details

This map tracks the route of my son's first cross-country road trip. He was two at the time and doesn't remember much of it. So I made this map which hangs in his room as a reminder. My favorite small detail is the coloring of the states we visited on the trip (brighter pastels) vs. the states we didn't (muted, unlabeled). Many years later, there are states which remain unnamed in his life because we didn't visit them on this trip and therefore didn't make this map, which has far outlived the trip itself.
