A crowdsourced visualization of places to visit in San Francisco, according to a collection of first graders and their parents.

Juicy details

This map was a DOOZY to make. I sent a survey around to a bunch of families we know, asking about their favorite places in San Francisco, according to the kids and their parents. And then of course we remembered other people who I'd forgotten to send the survey to and the list of participants (and mapping complexity!) kept growing. The result was a VERY LARGE map.

My favorite locations on the map (other than the secret portals, of course) are the handful of favorite places like Gamescape which were selected by kids and big kids alike!
